Every visionary artist understands the importance of a phenomenal mix. Whether your song was recorded in a world-class studio or your bedroom with a two-channel interface, it’s my objective to bring to life all the potential you heard when you first created your music.

Mastering
Mastering – the final production step before you share your music with the world. The first key ingredient is perspective. Next, I decide how to go about achieving that finished, polished sound.
Finalizing your music may require either a subtle or more aggressive approach – I will do what it takes to get your project sounding loud and proud, standing tall next to your favourite commercial releases.
Recording
Like every great sounding record, greatness starts at the source. Capturing vocals, instruments and sounds with the finest microphones, in an acoustically treated space, being guided by the right producer and excellent vibe – this is the foundation of amazing sounding, emotive music.

Production

About
Mark 7 Studios is home to producer Markus Roland Els. Markus has worked in several professional recording studios across South Africa, including the SABC, Downtown Studios, Sunset Recording Studios and more. Songs he has produced have garnered millions of streams on Spotify and several of his productions have been playlisted on both local and international radio stations and platforms. He is one of only a few in the Southern Hemisphere to hold both a BSc and Diploma in Sound Engineering, which he acquired at the Academy of Sound Engineering in JHB. Markus currently runs Mark 7 Studios from a cozy commercial production studio in Centurion, Gauteng and has associations with several larger studio facilities for when projects require the additional space.
